James Scott, Sr.
SAVANNAH – James Scotty Scott, Sr., 81, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 9, 2010, after a short illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Savannah and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Scotty worked for Savannah Ice Co. and Pepsi Cola Co. for many years and also handled appliances for many years. He had a good mother and a great wife. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Smith Scott, his wife, Catherine Price Scott, and a son, L. C. Kirby White.
Surviving are a son, James Scott, Jr. Sheila of Guyton; three daughters, Patricia Davis Robert of Guyton, Pam Newton James of Guyton, and Carrie Mayo Wayne of Brooklet; four grandchildren, Tiffany Scott, James Newton, Jr., Wayne Mayo, and Lee Mayo; and his good friend for many years, Doris Benson.
Funeral Services will be private.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers remembrances be made to Hospice Savannah, Inc., P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
